Many of my coworkers desks are full of colorful post-its because drawing helps me think through my design puzzles. Drawing has always been something I do as a gift to myself, to help clear my head, and to create for others.

Louie Zong Stamps
Each postcard and stamp combination represents a song about animals by Louie Zong. This brief was created by myself to design hypothetical merchandise for the artist. Deliverables include 6 postcard designs, 6 stamps, one stickersheet.
The audience I had in mind when creating this is teens/young adults who listen to Louie Zong or enjoy animals. I wanted to incorporate bright colors, QR codes to the songs, and animal facts.

Pokemon Card Art Contest 2023
The challenge was to depict the “daily life of pokemon” using one of the 8 provided pokemon - Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Arcanine, Cramorant, Galarian Rapidash, Greninja, Scizor, or Charizard.
When the challenge was announced to US residents I began with a few thumbnails of what a day in the life of some of these pokemon would be.
After the initial sketches and receiving feedback for my peers on which of the illustrations looked the most promising I moved forward in refining two Cramorant and a Charizard illustration!
After completing the first two entries I was working on a final piece with Charizard helping light fireworks at a summer festival but felt stuck. To get some inspiration I visited the zoo and walked past the Cormorant exhibit. They were just as silly as I had imagined and enjoyed just watching them sunbathe. After the visit and taking some photos, I made the decision to create another Cramorant card instead for the third entry. This ended up being the art that was selected into the Top 300 List.
TypeHaus Collabs
Font Collaboration
The TypeHaus, founded by designer Elliot Ulm, held a collab in 2021 to design a font between 98 creatives. Given a guideline, each designer created their assigned character(s) and the font was put together.
I was invited to create the “?” and a capital “T” alternate
Haus of Cards Collaboration
The TypeHaus, founded by designer Elliot Ulm, held a collab in 2022 to design a deck of cards. Given a guideline, each designer created their assigned card.
I was invited to create the Jack of Clubs.
The Jack(rabbit)s with Clubs! This card is based on the origin of playing cards, where Jacks were referred to as Knaves, and the medieval manuscript decorations during the same time period of wild killer rabbits.
RawPaw Shirt Design
I joined the “Day vs Night” Raw Paw Shirt Design Challenge in September of 2023. The contest was to join either team night or team day and using the teams selected color palette create a shirt. The parameters was that you could only use 2 colors maximum.
I joined team Day and created “Finding My Way”.
I was overwhelmed with the support for this design! Out of the 652 limited edition designs submitted into the contest this shirt finished the contest in the top 10 of designs sold. Team Day did not win overall but it was a team win in my book!
